Alilia has been researching about Narwhals
Narwhals have a big tooth that is made of canine. They can live for 30 - 40 years. They can also eat about 66 pounds a day. An adult narwhal can weigh 940 kilograms.Narwhals live in the Arctic oceans of Greenland, Canada, Norway and Russia. Their tooth grows into a sharp sword. A full grownup narwhal can have a tooth that is 10 feet long. Narwhals are really beautiful sea creatures and really fun to explore about.
Malachi has been learning about rounding numbers to the nearest 10
87=90 104=100 208=210 49=50
391=390 279=280 54=50 985=990
678=680 77= 80 836=840 92=90
19=20 195=200 760=760 56=60
929=930 25=30 765=770 199=200
12=10 118=120 563=560 519=520
Malachi and Alilia what an interesting creature to study. I wonder if that long tooth ever gets in the way when they are swimming?
ReplyDeleteAlilia - The narwhal, or narwhale, is a medium-sized toothed whale that possesses a large "tusk" from a protruding canine tooth. It lives year-round in the Arctic waters around Greenland, Canada, and Russia. It is one of two living species of whale in the family Monodontidae, along with the beluga whale...it is also known as THE UNICORN OF THE SEA. Great maths works Malachi - keep it up!
